This book should be titled Oh, well you know how women are and Isn't that just like a man! because it was written to be a tongue-and-cheek critique of people's opinions concerning the opposite sex.The first half of the book is about why woman behave the way they do, and the 2nd half concerns why men behave they way that they do. Co-authers are Mary Robers Rinehart and Irvin S. Cobb. I have read several books by Rinehart, and she is undoubtedly a very fine mystery writer. But a word of caution; do not read this book expecting it to be anything like any of her numberous mysteries. It is not. That is not to say it isn't very good, because it is quite enjoyable. It is light, easy reading and amusing how the authers have spun common observations into comic rationale. They use psychology as to why we do common every day things. I picked it up because I like her other books, but was a pleasent surprize how good it was. Written in 1920, it has a lot of things we can relate to almost 100 years later.3 stars.Product details

I was disappointed. I'm a big fan of Mary Roberts Rinehart's mysteries, but this is not a mystery. Humor changes over time, and somehow I couldn't get into the book.
Fun read. Too bad Rinhart was such a racist.
Very very good book, and is still relevant today! highly recommend this for anyone who wants more insight on the psychology of men and women.
